Stable Connections created a bespoke session for the children at our setting - they were thorough and engaging. The children loved meeting the ponies and had a unique experience, sparking curiosity and developing leadership skills. Every child was able to access the session with adjustments made to their individual needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

We hope that you find these FAQs helpful. Please email stableconnectionsuk@gmail.com with any further queries and we will be happy to assist you.

What shall I bring to my session?

Dress for the weather! For most of the year wearing wellies is a good idea. Feel free to bring lots of layers, changes of socks etc.

You will need to wear a protective hat during the session - you can bring your own riding hat if you have one.

Bring your own water bottle.

Bring anything else that will help you to feel comfortable - but just let us know when you arrive, as the site can be muddy and wet, so any precious items can be stored in a dry area.

Do clients need experience with ponies?

Do sessions involve riding?

No previous experience required - everyone is welcome and we can adapt sessions according to your needs and levels of experience. Just let us know what you would like to learn during your sessions and we will try to help!

No - our sessions focus on connecting with the ponies, learning to notice what they can teach us, how to care for them, and relational horsemanship.

For children/young people do parents/carers stay?

We encourage you to drop your child off and leave them with us. Children/young people with SEN needs are really welcome - please let us know about any needs and share any useful strategies that might support them to have a successful session.

Family sessions can be arranged.
